Underwriting Operations & Reporting Analyst

As the duties and responsibilities will develop over time the scope of the role will inevitably expand, so the summary below can only be seen as a starting point and brief overview.

-Assume responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of critical data received from international stakeholders.
-Management of various databases.
-Oversee the activities of off-shored functions. Offer training, guidance and act as a referral point for queries.
-Cleanse & analyse data and prepare monthly statistical reports
-Analysis of accounts to assist underwriters with pricing, loss ratios etc
-Work with IT developers to identify and implement enhancements
-Extensive liaison with internal and external stakeholders
-Project Management


·A minimum of 18 months within a syndicate, insurance company, MGA or broker.
·A proven track record in database management, data analysis and reporting.
·Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
·Excellent knowledge and working experience of MS Access (a good grasp of relational databases is a must with a strong understanding queries, reports, forms, macros & VBA)
·Exposure to Visio / Salesforce / IRIS - ideal, but not essential.
·Ability to operate sensitively in multinational environment & build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.

Location : City of London

Salary : to c£45,000 + benefits package & annual bonus
