Commercial Account Executive
Do you have commercial SME insurance broking experience? Would you like to take over a long-standing portfolio of clients and help grow this over time?
A well-established independent insurance Broker in Essex is looking for an experienced Account Executive to inherit and manage an existing £700k GWP book of SME commercial business. Typical risks include Commercial Combined, Packages, Tradesmen, PI and Motor Trade with premiums from £2k to £10k. The successful candidate will be expected to visit clients, present to Underwriters and place risks in the market.
It is expected that 3 or 4 days per week will be spent on existing clients and the remaining time dedicated to proactively growing the book with new clients. This could be through sending emails/letters aimed at companies in specific trades and following up with calls, revisiting past prospects and aiming to re-quote, cross-selling at renewal, visiting local businesses and generally using your initiative to think of new ideas to generate clients.
Applicants for this role should have solid client facing experience for a Broker combined with cross-class commercial knowledge. Confident broking skills to Underwriters are essential along with confident sales and development skills.
