About the Role:
A motivated, professional and dedicated Senior Claims Handler required who will be responsible for delivering a high quality professional advice service to your clients concerning any claims issues.
Primary task is to liaise with insurers and other interested parties to expedite the claim from inception to settlement - you take a real sense of pride in effectively over delivering against your clients' expectations.
·Working in the Property department including Real Estate, Property Owners and Residential Flats
·Average caseload is 350 cases per handler with values up to £250,000
·Advise and update clients about relevant events and discussions during their claim ensuring complete customer happiness.
·Regularly assess the status of claims with clients, insurers, recovery agents and solicitors.
·Offer appropriate technical advice to clients throughout the duration of the claim
·Encouraging, showing compassion and effectively handling your clients expectations
·Have open conversations with Line Managers about any issues, queries or areas of concern which may arise. Ensure you bring to your their attention any claims complaints.
·Ensure your market, insurance, legislation and other technical knowledge is developed and maintained.
·Run claims efficiently and keep the system updated with all relevant information.
·Handle a personal workload in order to service the client promptly and expertly
·Administrative skills who will be task focused and want to develop
·Update insurers and recovery agents, informing them of any additional information acquired during the claims process.
·Ensure that claims statistics are accurate and produced in accordance to SLAs.
Key Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
·Cert CII/ Dip CII (Chartered Insurance Institute) qualification desirable
·Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
·Experience within the insurance industry and expert claims handling focus.
·Ideally Property experience but will look at other classes of business within Claims
·Strong customer service drive along with good planning and analytical skills.
·Good communication and interpersonal skills and takes initiative when assisting team members.
