Fine Art & Specie Account Director
This longstanding brokerage has a terrific reputation within its chosen markets. Coupled with an array of insurance specific and generalist awards and plaudits (such as Chartered Broker status and holding the coveted Investors in People award), it is clearly a superb place to forge a fantastic career.
Having recently undertaken a strategic review of its High Net Worth Division, the board has made the decision to recruit an experienced Fine Art & Specie insurance professional to join the team in a senior capacity.
It has successful teams trading in SME, Corporate & International and Specialist Risks, although it is fair to say that the High Net Worth Division is one of the businesses’ strongest suits. It boasts a client list that is the envy of competing HNW brokers, comprising accounts ranging from the landed gentry to the nouveau riche, including individuals from the worlds of Business, Sport and Entertainment.
The HNW Division’s portfolio already includes a significant number of Fine Art, Specie and Jewellers’ Block accounts. This has been steadily building for many years, so the HNW Team is already well-versed in the nuances of these risks, and the business has serious buying power with mainstream and specialist insurers.
As Fine Art & Specie Account Director, you will work in close conjunction with the HNW Director and be responsible for setting future direction of the business. This will include helping with business development, establishing a network of introducers (Galleries, Institutions, Museums), and promoting the organisation in Ultra / High Net Worth circles. You will help to educate colleagues across the wider business about Fine Art / Specie risks, and promote a culture of cross and upselling between the various teams. You’ll also play a key role in the management of various stakeholders, including high level negotiations with insurers.
It is essential that you have a solid background within insurance broking, including a detailed knowledge of all relevant covers. You must have a genuine and infectious appreciation of Fine & Art and collectables. As you would expect, you must be extremely credible, professional and with the superb communication skills needed to build rapport with clients and prospects from all walks of life, from members of the aristocracy through to self-made business people.
Alongside a high profile and challenging role, you will receive a generous basic salary, lucrative bonus and Executive-level benefits package. You will also benefit from a bespoke development plan including, if desired, support towards professional qualifications under the CII.
