Underwriting Manager

We are currently representing a highly respected, global insurer with strong presence in the UK insurance market. Based from prestigious city centre offices, their Manchester operation focuses delivering corporate insurance solutions via a diverse panel of brokers throughout the UK.

Our client is looking to attract a Commercial Underwriting Manager to join their small, but highly experienced Property and Casualty team, which is due to undergo considerable expansion. Responsible for underwriting some of the branch’s larger and more complex renewals and taking referrals, you will be charged with leading and motivating the team to achieve agreed targets. A key member of the regional management team your role will also focus around portfolio management, retention and account performance.

To apply for the position, you will be an experienced Underwriter with robust knowledge of Property & Casualty business with exposure to and a commitment to leading, coaching and developing others. Along with a sound work ethic, excellent organisational skills and team focussed approach you will demonstrate the ability to forge effective relationships with colleagues and brokers, ensuring consistently high levels of service are maintained.
