An opportunity to join a highly successful and established MGA based in Essex who specialise in UK commercial products, professional liabilities and A&H.

This is an exciting new role within this busy and expanding underwriting agency.

The role involves the development of the core commercial and financial professions products, namely General Liability, Commercial Combined, Property Owners and Retail Package, Professional Indemnity, Directors & Officers and Schemes.
Duties will include reviewing underwriting strategy, updating guides, overseeing a team of underwriters for training, peer review and technical referral, amendments policy wordings, creation of new products and wordings, including overseeing system development and changes. This role shall also include responsibility for the performance of each product, running regular statistics and reports for partners.
You will possess a proven track record of successful product development, including involvement in the development of software platforms for quote and buy, full policy life cycle and reporting.
Underwrite both new and renewal business, run monthly internal audits, oversee external audits, provide statistics to insurers as required and oversee binder renewals.

This is a key position and candidates will need to be able to show strong technical experience in the insurance classes highlighted above. Experience of leading an underwriting team and underwriting management skills are essential.
