Electronic Trading Tester

Electronic Trading Tester - Essex - c £30,000

Well established Motor Insurer have a new and exciting role for an Electronic Trading Tester.

The main purpose of the role is as following:-

to design, build & maintain test models that will effectively test products across all distribution routes/software houses
Test plans should provide evidence of all tests carried out
Monthly testing will encompass monthly rate changes, new scheme builds and existing products although not necessarily all in the same month
Provide support to existing Electronic Trading Managers across various testing activities some of which include testing as above
Ensure all work for scheme builds and monthly updates is effectively tested before promotion to Live so that releases are as problem free as possible.
Deliver a test program across existing products that proves all are working as expected
Work closely and effectively with the business and effective liaison with Developers, Underwriters, Electronic Trading colleagues across all aspects of testing.
Provide testing reporting to the business as required.
Participate in ad hoc duties as required to effectively maintain the smooth running of the department.
Deployment and maintenance of an effective rating testing process

Experince and skills are as follows:-

oStrong background and understanding of the Motor Insurance market
oPrevious experience of working and delivery in a Testing environment
oExperience of testing with at least one of the Motor markets software houses such as CDL/OGI/SSP/TGSL/Applied/Acturis/Polaris
oExperience of building and maintaining Test Plans for Motor products
oDetailed knowledge of scheme structure and rating
oLogical approach to defining rules
oStrong Excel & MS Office ability
Good communication skills both written and verbal
